Graduate School - mail-in reference
Most graduate school applications are done entirely online, however if you are applying to a school that requires a paper reference then indicate that in the email request. You should send me all of the information needed for the online reference and a stamped, addressed envelope for the reference.
Scholarship applications
Email me your request. Your request should include the email address or mailing address for submitting the reference and its due date. It is most helpful if you took a class with me that you also include the name and term of class(es) you took with me. If you worked with me, please include the semester(s) we worked together and the name of the project. I will email you as soon as I have submitted the reference. Please feel free to ping me if the date gets close and you haven't heard from me.

Former students with LinkedIn references from me typically are award-winning students who have done research with me and have taken classes with me. That said, it never hurts to ask.

Prepare for asking me by getting reference due dates, how to submit the reference, when you took a class with me or did research with me, and your resume. I will reply to your email request, either agreeing or declining, within 48 hours.
Job Reference
Email me your request including a copy of your resume. It is most helpful if you took a class with me that you also include the name and term of class(es) you took with me.
